Join us for a special session to learn about British Sign Language, deaf culture and experiences.

Aftab has been teaching sign language to the local community in Frizinghall over the last few weeks and you’re invited to come along to a special session to explore more about deaf culture and experiences.

Learn some BSL, join in some art, grab some tasty food and join in a special interview with Aftab to find out what it’s like to grow up deaf in a hearing world.

Hands That Speak is an inclusive and relaxed session for all ages. There is space for small children to play and quiet areas if needed. There’s no need to book and the session is free. We have volunteers on hand if you need support to join in.
