Get ready for composer-pianist Xenia Pestova Bennett to create an electic soundscape at St George’s Hall

Glow presents a magical sound-world that blends the Magnetic Resonator Piano with a contemporary chamber ensemble, weaving semi-improvised elements and field recordings together with intricate, extended techniques.

Get ready to enter an eclectic soundscape woven together by composer-pianist Xenia Pestova Bennett and performed by Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble.

Glow was commissioned by Northern Ireland’s premier new music group, Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble, and written by the innovative composer-pianist Xenia Pestova Bennett, who also joins the ensemble on stage.

About this event

This New Music Biennial 2025 event is free, but ticketed. Seating is unallocated and tickets don’t guarantee entry: admission is on a first-come, first-served basis for those with tickets. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

This event includes two performances of the same work and a short interview with the creative team in between the two, enabling audiences to experience the second performance with greater insight into the creative process.
