Explore the themes of the new exhibition Fighting to Be Heard, with family-friendly crafts, performances – and boxing skills.

Join us to celebrate the opening of Fighting to Be Heard at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery with a free day of discussions, workshops and special events.

We’ll be joined from 11.30am to 12.30pm by the exhibition’s co-creators, including world champion boxer Tasif Khan, calligrapher Razwan Ul-Haq and Daniel Lowe, Curator of Arabic Collections at the British Library, who will talk about the making of Fighting to Be Heard.

There’ll also be activities for all, including a family calligraphy workshop, mehndi designs, recitals by young people from the Al-Mustafa Centre in Girlington, and the chance to try boxing skills with the Tasif Khan Community Boxing Academy.
