Extraordinary Portraits with Bill Bailey

Breathtaking portraits – incredible personal stories.

All six original artworks from the hit BBC One series featured at this exhibition in Loading Bay, our pop-up venue in Bradford.

Extraordinary Portraits with Bill Bailey invited artists to create breathtaking portraits of people with incredible personal stories, creating a powerful picture of modern Britain. For the first time in Bradford, we were delighted to present an exhibition of portraits from series four of the BBC One show, available now on BBC iPlayer– and admission was free. Find out more about the programme on the BBC website.

Presented in partnership with the BBC and Chatterbox Media, Extraordinary Portraits with Bill Bailey was the opening event for Loading Bay, our space in the heart of Bradford. We transformed an old storage depot into a buzzing culture hub for Bradford 2025, with exhibitions, gigs, theatre and much more taking place there during the year.
