The Beacon – Bowling Park

Creative Play for Under-5s

Families got crafty in Bowling Park at this special session for under-5s and their grown-ups.

Toddlers and their grown-ups got arty at this special creative morning – part of Our Patch, Bradford 2025’s free community creativity programme.

Littl’uns were welcome to take part in two different activities – one inside The Beacon and the other outdoors in Bowling Park (weather permitting).

DRAW! Workshop

Families joined local artist Maddie from Story Bees inside The Beacon for a fun, hands-on drawing and craft session designed especially for young children. The workshop was presented as part of DRAW!, our nationwide drawing programme for 2025 supported by David Hockney. Little ones were encouraged to explore art through playful, age-appropriate activities that sparked creativity and imagination.

Messy Play Adventure

Better Start Bradford invited you to a fun session of sensory play. Children squished, poured and experimented to spark curiosity and support early learning through open-ended, hands-on activities. It was the perfect way for little ones to explore and grow!

Creative Junk Workshop

50 Things To Do Before You’re Five were at the event for a fun and creative junk workshop inside The Beacon.
