The Beacon – Cliffe Castle Park

Colorsphere

Hands Some Feet & Opus Company

Colorsphere was not your average circus.

We joined this circus adventure in a story about exploration, change, and adapting to new environments.

We followed four fearless explorers as they navigated a mysterious, ever-changing land inhabited by mischievous creatures who just couldn’t stop generating colourful balls. But when a new, colourful ball appeared, disrupting the balance of life and starting an uncontrollable chain of transformation – the world of Colorsphere was flipped upside down.

We joined the explorers on their expedition into a new reality where they had to learn to adjust to unexpected circumstances. Colorsphere takes both young and old spectators on an exciting journey towards completely new dimensions, promising a magical and memorable experience for everyone.

Their debut show, “Hands Some Feet,” premiered in Finland in 2018 and has since been seen by over 55,000 spectators worldwide. With their creative vision and dedication, Hands Some Feet continues to push the boundaries of contemporary circus, delighting audiences around the globe.

Opus Company is co-founded and directed by Kerttu and Adam Opus. Creating multidisciplinary work, they focus on contemporary circus, visual theatre and installation art.
“Central to our artistic exploration is the concept of circus dramaturgy—an approach that delves into the psychological and emotional dimensions of the human experience. Our performances question the traditional confines of circus, exploring the realms of illusion and blurring the lines between what is real and what is imagined. By intertwining physicality, symbolism, and metaphor, we seek to unravel the complexities of the human condition.”
