Bradford city centre was transformed by a stunning series of light and sound installations.
Bradford’s city centre was transformed by a collection of dazzling light installations and performances by local, national and international artists as we explored the Colour of Light.
In collaboration with Bradford Council, BD: is LIT invited audiences to see Bradford in a new light and rediscover our city. From large scale installations to theatre and awe-inspiring light and sound artwork, there was something for everyone.
Light Up The North Conference
Alongside BD: is LIT, Light Up The North presented a series of talks exploring the dynamic world of light art on 7 November.
Exhibiting light artists at Light Up Lancaster and BD: is LIT discussed the nature of light art and their creative practice. There was also the opportunity to engage with expert guests and examine the phenomenal rise of light events across the UK, and the cultural and economic impact of light festivals on our towns and cities.
