On the border between Bradford and Leeds sits an ancient woodland known as Black Carr Wood.

Ancient woodlands are special woods that have been around since the 1600’s and have developed their own ecosystem. Each woodland has developed into it’s own local ecosystem that helps to protect many types of endangered wildlife. Black Carr Woods is full of majestic oak trees that support over 2000 species of flora and fauna.
