This walk takes a short loop around Esholt Woods, made of four woodlands including Jerrison and Spring Woods.

The woods are near the pretty village of Esholt, whose name means Ash Wood or ‘shelter beneath the ash tree’. The village was once home to industrial mills and a tannery that provided local employment. The mills are now gone but the rest of the village remains largely as it was in the 19th century.

Getting there
