Future Cargo comes to Bradford

Sci-fi dance show Future Cargo by Requardt & Rosenberg comes to University of Bradford as part of district-wide light festival, Bradford is #Lit.

A truck arrives from an unknown location loaded with a mystery shipment. As the sides roll up a strange and unstoppable process is set into motion. Future Cargo is the latest outdoor work by The Place Affiliate Artist Frauke Requardt and co-conspirator David Rosenberg, and has been created with longstanding collaborators, Hannah Clark (set and costume), Ben & Max Ringham (music and sound) and lighting designer Malcolm Rippeth.

Future Cargo is a sci-fi dance show performed in a 40-foot haulage truck and, like all Requardt & Rosenberg’s shows, it delivers the delicate integrity of a deeply intimate experience within a large-scale dance spectacle. Audiences experience the strange and unstoppable process of Future Cargo through binaural headphones.

The 45-minute show will take place on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November at 6pm and 8.30pm. Future Cargo is brought to you in partnership with Theatre in the Mill as part of Bradford is #Lit, a district-wide festival of light by Bradford Council, Bradford 2025 and Bradford BID. The show is free, and tickets can be booked in advance via the Theatre in the Mill website from Friday 29 October.
