Bradford Council are looking to appoint a socially engaged artist to animate the discussions around the future of City Hall, as part of its Heritage Action Plan.
Bradford Council are looking for artists to showcase our heritage in contemporary and relevant ways – promoting the value of culture, heritage and creativity and encouraging people to get involved.
The local authority are considering the future of its iconic City Hall, a Grade I listed, 19th century town hall. They want to know what the people of Bradford think about the building and the public spaces within it. What aspirations do they have for this iconic building? How can it reflect their own lives and stories? Could it be put to more relevant public use?
Working with a Heritage Action Plan consultant, Council, the heritage sector and people of Bradford the Artist in Residence would find engaging and exciting ideas and views for the best use of this important heritage space.
There is a fixed fee of £10,000, with a further £5,000 available for project development and expenses. Closing date 5pm, 31st October
