We seek a brand identity for the Bradford 2025 bid. One that people of the Bradford district will recognise, be inspired by and want to adopt, wherever they live. It will also need to work on a national and international stage. 

It must convey something unique or distinctive about the identity of the district now – a bold, clear, enduring and powerful design that comes from the soul of Bradford and looks to the future with confident, progressive ambition. It must also offer the promise of rich creative potential.

To express an interest in this tender we invite you to submit the following:

  • An online portfolio demonstrating a selection of your past creative work within the last three years, including the names and biographies of people who will lead and art direct the work and the names of two references that you are happy for us to contact at shortlisting stage.
  • A description of the process you plan to use to arrive at initial design options, the principles that will guide the creation of the design and your thoughts on how the brand could evolve and be deployed for maximum impact. We do not require original speculative creative ideas as part of the shortlisting process, unless you wish to do this.
  • Your proposed fee structure for undertaking this work (to include client briefings, attendance at virtual meetings, desk research, first round, second round and final design stages) with deliverables including the provision of final artwork/s and the creation of brand guidelines/brand toolkit for use by partners and third parties.
  • We are not expecting the production of moving image to be included in the first suite of deliverables. However we expect an indication of how the final artwork could translate into an animated sequence/moving identity.

From responses to this call we will create a shortlist of people/companies to invite to participate in a virtual interview.  Our decision to shortlist will be based on a scoring matrix made up of quality of creative work, your process for arriving at design options, your fee levels and, (given that we wish to encourage businesses in the Bradford district and/or the West Yorkshire region), your geographic location.
